I was struggling to find a good A-Z of skincare starting with an M but I’ve gone today for Milk Protein. Basically it’s a nutrient rich, anti-irritant, skin protecting property which is rich in amino acids.
Its commonly used as an active ingredient in body moisturisers and can be particularly effective for individuals with more sensitive skin, like myself! I used to literally be able to slap anything on, but as I’ve got older I have indeed become more sensitive on pretty much all scores! Crying and itching are my go to permanent states of being!
It can also be regularly found listed as an ingredient in cleansers and facial moisturisers too because it works deeply to nourish and hydrate the skin for an all over more radiant and healthy natural glowing complexion.
If you want to soothe and moisturize dry skin or instantly add a much needed boost of hydration to a dull, lifeless complexion then look for milk or a rice protein active.
It’s present in one of my absolute favourite body moisturizers, Laura Mercier Souffle Body Crème. This stuff is good enough to eat. Smells delicious and always leaves my skin silky soft, smooth, deeply hydrated and feeling nourished. I think I might slather myself in some right now!
