So we are into #body week which is far more my comfort zone although I must say, I have really enjoyed meditating and will most definitely be making it more of a regular occurrence.
I’ve always suffered with my digestive health. Apparently it’s not unusual for a Virgoan.
I’ve had literally every test under the sun done and nothing conclusive has ever come to light. I’m regularly bloated, often irregular in my bowel movements and suffer from trapped wind, indigestion and epic burps for such a little girl. Too much information? Well this is a reality guide!
When I worked in a previous high profile media company where I had all kinds of benefits as well as a generous hitherto unmatched salary, my indigestion and cramping was at a peak. I was lucky enough to be referred to a Harley Street specialist and had a barium to try and get to the bottom of what was going on. Nothing conclusive. In fact it was suggested that maybe I should just slow down when I ate and try to take less air in!!!!! I kid you not! Turns out, it could have been leaky gut syndrome.
So, I’m personally very interested in my gut health and understanding the impact it can have on my immune system, health, well-being and ultimately happiness. Apparently the gut is responsible for protecting us from infection. The good bacteria in our gut making up 80% of our immune system. If it’s sluggish, it could also be the reason why despite your best efforts, you’re struggling to lose those final few pounds too.
So there are a couple of very top line tips that will help you to immediately help your gut!
SLEEP – your body needs plenty of restorative sleep to recoup. It’s like pressing the re-set button.
WATER – we all know it don’t we? 2-3 litres per day ladies - filtered. Those toxins won’t flush themselves away.
I’m going to dig into the e-book, generously given to me for free by Rena, who’s put together this body session together as part of my #30daysofyou transformation.
You can check out her work for yourself at www.renajoy.com or wait for me to report back with my pearls of wisdom! I’m pretty sure I’m going to be told NOT to drink alcohol!
