This smoothie recipe is a great breakfast replacement for you and the family.
Its packed with age defying and disease preventing anti-oxidants so its good for you and them. Getting children drinking smoothies isn't easy but this one is sweet and has a lovely crunchy texture too so its super filling and an ideal addition to your usual repertoire of breakfasts.
1 small pineapple, peeled
2 handfuls of blueberries ( I buy mine in bags frozen)
4 tbsp of live yoghurt
Handful of almonds (preferably pre soaked)
1 tbsp of Manuka honey
I literally throw it all into my blender, and put it on a vigorous setting. You could juice the pineapple and a handful of the blueberries first but I love the consistency when its all just blended together. Plenty to get your teeth into. A welcome change to a bowl of muesli.
