Does anyone else feel like this is the longest month EVER?
It's still January for gods sake! I ran out of money and will power about 2 weeks ago! Those of you who are still fighting the powers of the evil booze and have maintained your efforts to keep January "dry", I SALUTE YOU! No doubt you're counting down the blessed days until February comes and you can get back on the lash! Unless you really are Saint like in which case, what the hell you doing reading my blog! LOL.
So many of us start with good intentions but did you know that a massive 95% of us experience an epic FAIL and quickly revert back to our old gin swigging ways. How many of you will spend time this weekend saying "I'll start again on Monday!" and maybe you will, or maybe you just won't bother!
It actually doesn't take long for new habits to be formed but it does take an element of discipline and will power and it's very much a case of mind over matter. 21 days of consistent habitual behaviour are generally what is required to flip the internal switch.
So for those of you still juicing and looking for tasty recipes and ideas, here's a recipe that will have you feeling like a lean, green energy boosting machine this weekend.
1 stick celery
1 cup spinach
6 green apples
1/2 lime, peeled
1/2 inch fresh ginger
This juice has got a real "zing" in its tail. Namely because it contains ginger and lime which are going to fire up the old metabolism and get your digestive system moving too. Its literally loaded with essential vitamins and minerals that will feed and give life to every cell in your body. Just this one daily dose here should deliver more live nutrients than the lesser mortals amongst us will consume in an entire week. Not only does it taste pretty great, its good for you and will have you feeling self righteous too! My top tip is to drink it out of a large wine glass! I think it makes you feel even more virtuous!
Juice all the ingredients, pour into a glass over ice, drink and get ready to do your Saturday morning housework like you're on steroids! Careful, these drinks have been known to pack such a punch of hyperactivity that you might create a whirlwind in your own living room!
Hope that's left you feeling energised and raring to go.
