I used to be strictly a Sauv girl but (much as I hate to admit it) as I've got older (not sure whether its the dreaded hormones or what) I've found this favourite white grape seriously disagreeing with me.
We affectionately used to call it "pony juice" as it made me a lively little filly! However these days, its more likely to unleash my inner demon and send me a bit "RAR"! Not good for my Boo!
Ever on the quest for something deliciously intoxicating to quaff, I thought that I would do a regular tried and tested review of cocktails! (See, am I not just your favourite friend - trialling all of these things for you?)
First up, the Espresso Martini.
Love this drink, a special favourite of mine when visiting Miami on business. Just the right "kick" to beat the jet lag! I Usually head to the Delano Hotel beach bar to have mine served up sweeties.
This recipe is courtesy of Dick Bradsell and made famous by the Match bars in London
Coffee Beans for garnish.
Couldn't be easier to make - just shake all the ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with an odd number of coffee beans! Looks more aesthetically pleasing that way. Always has to be an odd number doesn't it? Why not invest in your own Martini set?
All that's left now is to sit back, sip and savour. You've worked hard all week. You deserve it.
